Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Hussein for use of the Froodie application and website. By using Froodie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for accurate account information, your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Contact froodie.support@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

The service and free access

Froodie helps you capture and organize kitchen ingredients, estimate when food may need attention, discover or generate recipes, plan meals, build shopping lists, and follow cooking steps. The free tier currently includes one lifetime scan plus manual pantry updates, recipe discovery, cook mode, in-app expiry display, and other features shown in the app. Features may evolve as the product changes.

Premium, trials, and billing

• Premium may be offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Localized price, billing period, and any eligible trial appear in the App Store before confirmation.
• Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account, not directly by Froodie.
• An auto-renewing subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple’s applicable terms.
• Manage or cancel on iPhone in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Froodie. Deleting your Froodie account does not cancel store billing.
• A lifetime purchase is non-renewing access to the Premium features offered by Froodie while the service remains available; it is not a guarantee that every current feature will remain unchanged forever.

AI-generated content and food safety

You are responsible for checking product labels and ingredients, allergies, dietary restrictions, spoilage, storage conditions, cross-contamination, and safe cooking temperatures. When food appears unsafe, discard it. Seek a qualified professional for medical or dietary guidance.

Your content and permissions

You retain rights in content you provide. You grant Froodie and its processors the limited permission needed to operate the service, such as processing a fridge photo to detect ingredients or using pantry data to create a recipe. Our Privacy Policy explains those operations.

Acceptable use

Do not use Froodie to violate law or others’ rights, access another person’s account, interfere with service operation, bypass limits or security, scrape or reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or distribute malicious content.

Intellectual property

Froodie’s software, brand, layout, and original content—excluding content you provide and third-party materials—are owned by Hussein or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you.

Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that AI output, expiry estimates, recipes, or nutrition information will be complete or accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hussein is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Termination and account deletion

You may stop using Froodie or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious breach, fraud, abuse, security risk, or legal requirement. See Account deletion.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms and will revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. These Terms are governed by [GOVERNING_LAW], subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
